RSVP deadline? March 1st, 2023.
Dresscode? Formal; as stated by Google; The formal dress code is located somewhere between cocktail and black tie. For the ladies this requires a short or long formal dress, a trouser suit, or dressy separates. For men, a dark suit, white shirt, and conservative tie is appropriate. Bear in mind: We will be on an island, therefore high stiletto heels may not be the most suitable, and for men we’re not ‘fussy’ on suit colour.
Will we be outside all day? We are planning to be outside if the weather permits in the day, however, dinner will be served in a covered and heated indoor section. We also have another indoor area for the evening.
How warm will it be? In May in Norway, the temperature drops in the evening. Average temperature this time of year is 20° daytime / 11° night.
Can I get to the island on my own? No. There are no public boats that operate this route. We will have shuttle busses and boats – time schedule to be announced in due course.
Can I stay in another hotel? Of course! There are plenty of options in Sandefjord! You have AirBnB, Finn.no (the Norwegian ‘AirBnB’ with house and cabin rentals) and other hotels including Scandic Park Hotel and Clarion Hotel Atlantic which are both nice.
What time should I arrive? We are awaiting final timings and will update accordingly. For now, aim to be ready to leave for the venue at 12 pm.
What if I have dietary restrictions? Please let us know in the RSVP.
Is it OK to take pictures during the ceremony? We ask you to please keep your phones in your pockets/purses during the ceremony – after that please go WILD and tag with #CelineAndWill.
Will there be a gift registry? The greatest gift is you being there with us. However (!) – for our honeymoon we’ll be heading across the world to Patagonia and if you want to sponsor us with an ice cream or two we’ll appreciate it.
See wish list for the honeymoon >
Are kids welcome? Unfortunately not as we are on an island and only have security to look after adults.
Can I swim? We will have security on the island, however, they are not there to look after drunken sailors at sea. So please avoid swimming. PS: it will also be about 10 degrees in the sea. Maybe 12.
Any other questions; the bride(zilla) is your best option.
